I had absolutely no idea what I was walking into with They Will Kill You — and that made it even better. From the opening scene to the closing credits this is a gore-soaked, hilarious romp that never lets up.
The premise is simple — a woman takes a housekeeping job in a mysterious NYC high-rise and quickly realizes the residents have very dark intentions. What follows is pure chaos in the best possible way.
The film has serious Sam Raimi energy mixed with a Tarantino-style love of stylized violence. It’s funny, brutal, and endlessly entertaining. I watched this one with my parents — who are not horror fans — and even they were laughing throughout.
Without giving too much away, there is a scene involving an eyeball that is equal parts disgusting and absolutely hilarious. Easily one of my favorite moments in a horror film in years.
If you love horror comedies with genuine bite, this one is an essential watch. The physical release hits on June 30, 2026 — pre-order it now.
